So we officially entered yet another rite of parenting this weekend - the dreaded potty training. With three days beneath our belts now, I think I can say that Max is doing well and getting used to it. He had two pee accidents the first and second day, but he did go #2 on the potty both days, which was encouraging. I think he can "hold it", so to speak, but he still obviously has to master telling us when he needs to go. We've been using underwear during the day, a pull up at nap and a diaper at night. Did I mention how cute his little bootie is in those undies!? He just loves wearing them, especially his Cars ones.
We were nervous about his first day at daycare today, but his daycare teacher Michelle is great about working with him (in my book, she's an expert at this with three boys and all). When I arrived to pick him up, I got the official report - "no accidents!" Yeay, Max! He also apparently earned some street cred with the other boys because he had Thomas the Train underwear on, and no one else has Thomas undies.

nice job max! it is pretty impressive that he went #2 right off the bat. the thomas the train underwear are favorites in our house!
Yea Max! And yea! Laura! Potty training isn't easy, and to get it in one weekend? That's great. Cam's still not quite ready, but he loves his underwear, too (Diego). And you're right - two year old butts are so cute in those little undies :)
Oh how I remember the days of potty training. Congrats on #2 so fast. Although it was much easier to train Justin (one day) than Kristin (forever). How cool for Max with the Thomas the Train. For my kids it was the Power Rangers. One was blue and the other was pink. Take care, Rob and Connie.
