As you all know, Max has always been a book lover. But it seems lately he's taken his book love to a whole new level.....like borderline nerdiness. Here's the evidence:
- Will first root through his book shelf for just the right book. This involves pulling out every single book (that I have so neatly arranged according to size and title), examining each one closely and throwing them to the ground until he finds just the perfect one. After reading the chosen one, he'll sit in the middle of the gigantic pile of books and 'read' through them all. And poor mom is left to clean up the book tornado.
- He'll sometimes bring a favorite read to his little man chair. His new thing is to "read out loud" and flip through the pages. Basically, it sounds like this: "doobie, dobie, dooooobie, do" over and over. He was doing it in this picture above.
- He constantly bring books to us so that we'll read them to him....and throws a mini tantrum until we read them. Bit rude, eh?
- Loooves the book aisle at the store. If he's getting antsy in the cart, I'll take him over to the book aisle and his eyes light up (especially if he sees a Dora book). He usually ends up with a new book - like Dora's Valentine Adventure from Wal Mart today and Bye Bye Pacifier yesterday from Target - so the habit's starting to get expensive.
- He told me he wants to join Lisa's book club. He's nominating his current favorite What Color is Your Underwear for the next book. It's a little risqué, but it has a great surprise ending.

There's nothing wrong with being a nerd! Just ask Jason - he married one :) Cameron likes listening to books, too, but on his own he really just likes throwing them or eating them... Maybe Max could teach him a thing or two!
